The Traveling Vampire Show
Although not necessarily what I had expected, I can appreciate the great story that unfolds in The Traveling Vampire Show. Laymon has an amazing ability to create characters and dialogue that are so good they are almost entrancing. I did expect more vampire and less coming of age story so I feel a little cheated there, but for me to have given this less than 5 stars would've been a mistake. I'd recommend this book to a fan of story telling, but not necessarily a fan of horror. If you are in the mood for a story about a loss of innocence, give it a try. You might just find yourself floored.
